In March 2021, Todd asked Kelsey out to dinner. She said yes—always up for a free meal—and they've been together ever since.

After five years together, Kelsey started joking that if Todd was ever going to propose, she'd be expecting a giant diamond. In her line of work, she's seen a lot of engagement rings, so naturally, she had high standards.

​

Little did she know, Todd had already been working on a plan.

As many of you know, Todd grew up in the towing industry and has been attending the Florida Tow Show since he was 14 years old.

 

With the help of some friends, he knew it was the perfect place to propose.

​

He convinced Kelsey that she absolutely had to attend the show because she'd never been before. She was skeptical (and a little stressed), considering Floriana's first wedding of the spring season was that same weekend, but Todd was unusually persistent, so she agreed.

​

Then came the cover story.

​

Todd told Kelsey that Jerr-Dan was taking "Meet the Team" marketing photos and that anyone whose significant other was attending should join them for a couple of pictures. Their scheduled time? Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

​

So Kelsey showed up dressed for photos, smiling in front of a rotator while wondering why everyone around them suddenly had their phones pointed in her direction.

​

A few seconds later, it all made sense.

​

The rotator's boom slowly swung around carrying a velvet bag with the ring, Taylor Swift was playing in the background, and Todd got down on one knee.

​

Kelsey was completely caught off guard. The ring definitely lived up to the hype, and—after taking a second to process what was happening—she said yes.

​

Now we can't wait to celebrate with all of our favorite people as we kick off this next chapter together!

These days, you'll usually find us planning our next trip, searching for our next great meal, opening a good bottle of wine, spending as much time as we can at our Florida condo, and making sure our dog, Edie, receives the level of attention and treats she deserves.
